I’ve always had a creative soul. As a child, I declared I wanted to be an artist. Unfortunately, due to the education system in the 1980s, I missed out on formal art education. Instead, I followed a path that led me to work in community care for over 30 years. My creativity took a backseat, and I believed I lacked the tools and confidence to pursue art.

However, on June 29, 2008, everything changed. I found myself standing in front of the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, hearing Leonard Cohen's "Anthem" for the first time. When he spoke these words:

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything,
That’s how the light gets in

Tears of joy flowed. In that moment, my creativity was set free. Over the following years, my journey into making art began, though it was a wobbly one. By 2018, my work started to take shape.

Now, in 2025, I’m still on my creative journey, and I’m just beginning to share my art with the world. I hope you can join me on this path, and I encourage you to be kind, be inspired, and let your own creativity shine.

I’d like to express my gratitude to the following for their tools, guidance, and encouragement:

Sally, Stan - Everybody Arts, Eadaoin Glyn, Art Juice, Leonard Cohen, and, of course, you, dear reader, along with the entire light-filled universe.

Remember, you can ring the bells.
